Where the Strategy is Service
For more than a decade The Access Group (TAG), and in recent years its affiliate company Healthcare Performance Partners (HPP), have successfully trained companies and healthcare entities to use lean concepts to eliminate waste and improve production, quality, and efficiency all leading to more satisfied customers and employees. Through the leadership of Managing Partners Charles Hagood and Mike Brown, employees of TAG and HPP are not only leading the way in their industry but are impacting their communities and beyond through a lifestyle of service and caring.

Designed to improve quality, processes and reduce costs, TAG is the leader in Lean Manufacturing services to numerous Fortune 500 companies including Ford, Aladdin, Ball Aerospace, Textron, Cessna, and Nissan to name a few. TAG assists in helping to target and eliminate waste from all vantage points of the manufacturing process, focusing on areas such as quality improvement, lead time and cost reduction, creating a culture of continuous improvement. TAG integrates an array of services such as project engineering, architecture and design, plant relocation, lean manufacturing consulting, and more for solutions to a variety of business needs.

Affiliate company, HPP and Lean Healthcare West take the principles of Lean Healthcare, KAIZEN and Six Sigma to hospitals and other healthcare entities including not only hospitals but clinics, surgery centers, and long term care facilities as well, applying Lean techniques to various areas including but not limited to admitting/ discharge issues, infection rates, scheduling processes and systems, administrative processes and billing. With an overall goal of improving efficiency beginning with design, HPP’s goal is to create systems that are caregiver and patient-focused. HPP understands that nursing shortages can create more stress and with that in mind, seeks to create facilities that are caregiver-friendly. HPP is able to get involved at any point in the design process from master planning to final design using Lean principles every step of the way.

HPP has recently partnered with the non-profit Pittsburg Regional Health Initiative (PRHI), the country’s leading organization for improvement of healthcare quality outcomes and patient safety. PRHI which was co-founded by former U.S Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neil and Karen Feinstien, is focused on using the Lean approach to further improve quality outcomes and jointly with HPP will offer new training services.
