Who Cooks for You?
Your Personal Dinner Solution!
Dusty cookbooks, unopened spices, a fridge hiding the sad remains of fresh vegetables bought with good intentions but never cooked . . . your kitchen may be trying to tell you something. It’s time to forsake frozen meals and expensive take-out and allow personal chef, Marirae Mathis of WHO COOKS FOR YOU? to take the guesswork out of dinner by providing it for you!

Marirae first conducts a consultation to determine food preferences, allergies, and special dietary needs. Marirae can cook anything from gourmet and comfort food to kosher, vegetarian, or diet-specific meals for diabetics, Atkins, Weight Watchers, etc. “It is so personalized,” says Marirae, “If you don’t want oregano in your spaghetti sauce, it won’t go in. If you love mushrooms, I double it!”

Not to be confused with a private chef, Marirae cooks for several families, traveling to clients’ homes armed with cooking utensils, spices, cleaning supplies, and food. Marirae prepares a pre-determined set of meals along with appropriate side-dishes. She then breaks meals into one, two or family-sized portions and places them in your freezer in packaging suitable for the oven or microwave and sealed to ensure freshness and prevent freezer burn, all with detailed heating instructions. Then Marirae does the dishes and wipes down the counters so all you’re left with is great food!

Marirae focuses on building trusting relationships with clients, giving them the peace of mind that she will cook healthy meals suitable to their tastes that are also budget-conscious. “I want people to understand that a personal chef service is affordable and doable – it’s a huge time and money saver.” Her services also include grocery shopping, “don’t buy and throw away good food that you intend to cook, let me buy only the food that’s needed to make your meals.”

A member of the US Personal Chef Association, Marirae began WCFY in February of 2007. Marirae always enjoyed cooking and entertaining while working for 25 years as a dental hygienist. Marirae resolved to pursue her passion for cooking and after short stints as a kitchen cook and private chef, she attended and graduated from Atlanta’s Culinary Business Academy. At the age of 47, Marirae found she had become an entrepreneur as a personal chef. “I love it! It’s rewarding to know that my clients are eating healthy and satisfying food that is fresh and cooked just for them.”

Marirae’s mission statement is “to help feed all of God’s hungry creatures. As I succeed in my business, my focus will be on feeding homeless persons and abandoned animals.”
