Davis & Associates is a full-service people and organizational development consulting company that partners with its clients as they strive to reach their highest goals. The company’s services fall into three competency areas: (1) assist organizations that want to develop their employees through Human Resource and Organizational Effectiveness services; (2) provide coaching and consulting services to individuals who wish to start or grow their own business; and (3) provide Career Coaching through individual and small group sessions in organizations.

Audra and her husband, Matthew, began Davis & Associates in 2005 in the pursuit of their career passion. Audra says, “I had been toying with the idea of starting a consulting company for years, and after we began our family I took the opportunity to leave the corporate world. I wanted to do something that better incorporated my education and experience . . . and more important, something that I was passionate about.”

The pair offer clients nearly 30 years of corporate, non-profit, higher education, and start up experience. Audra received a doctorate in Organizational Psychology from Rutgers University. She has always had an interest in the impact of work on people given that it plays such a significant role in how they define themselves. Dr. Davis has a wealth of experience across several industries focusing on organizational change. Specifically, her career path has included leadership roles in employee development, global diversity, talent management, team development, and quality measurement, among other areas. She is a skilled assessor and change agent, a certified Six Sigma Green Belt, and a career coach.

Her husband Matthew provides strategic direction, utilizing over 16 years of experience in Higher Education, Corporate America and Start-up’s. Mr. Davis, who is also a career coach, received his MBA from Vanderbilt University.

Audra stresses that their services are able to fit the needs of a wide range of clients from someone needing assistance in finding the right career to large corporations and not-for-profit organizations looking for systemic change. “We’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity early on to service some major clients such as a hospital system we are working with. They came to us needing to improve patient satisfaction. We started with a comprehensive organizational assessment to better understand the underlying issues from the perspective of all stakeholders, including hospital administrators and staff, and of course, patients. This assessment included conducting focus groups, interviewing key individuals, reviewing important documents and examining workflow.”

Davis and Associates’ assessment led to a diverse action plan that integrated several items: creating standard operating procedures, documenting processes and addressing workflow inefficiencies. It culminated with the development of customized customer service training. “It’s been great to see how this hospital is changing its whole perspective . . . they have changed their whole paradigm to better serve patients. We have really helped create the right tools and processes so that they could provide better service to their patients - consistently.”

By taking the time to perform a comprehensive assessment for each client, Davis & Associates develops customized solutions, which apply to all three of their service lines. They offer strategic as well as technical services that align with individual professional objectives and organizational business objectives. “Other companies may do pieces of this, but they don’t all have the training and expertise. Some do some of what we do, but are they as comprehensive, as intensive or well-versed…I would respectfully argue no,” says Dr. Davis. A few examples of other client engagements include:
